Advanced HelioSeal and Energy Efficiency

The Ultrastar DC HC555 utilizes Western Digital’s field-proven HelioSeal technology, creating a stable internal helium environment that minimizes power consumption. This low-power architecture drastically reduces idle and operational energy needs, lowering total cost of ownership (TCO) across server deployments. Furthermore, a Triple-Stage Micro Actuator ensures precise head positioning to maintain high performance and density without increasing power demand.
